Data Protection
Data privacy and security is extremely important to Right Corecare and our customers, clients, and employees. Privacy and security are essential to building a foundation of trust with those individuals about whom we hold personal information.
Data Privacy is about respect. It is about the right of individuals to determine for themselves when, how, and to what extent information about them is communicated to others. Privacy is often a code word for "information practices", which include the types of information we have; how we collect information; how we store information; how we use information; how we disseminate information; how we retire information; how we "safe-keep" information; who has access to information. Privacy measures include notification and awareness, choice and consent, individual participation and access, and enforcement and recourse.
Data Security is about the protection of personal information during collection, use, storage, sharing and retirement. It is the establishment and maintenance of measures to protect information. Security measures include authentication, authorization, confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation and access control.
One can have security without privacy, but it is impossible to have privacy without security. Both security and privacy are essential components of all the Right Corecare services.
Our Data Privacy programme is intended to document and ensure consistency and efficiency in our data privacy practices moving forward.
