Pre-employment Screening

We recognise that more than ever in today's pressurised and demanding workplace, it is essential to recruit individuals who are right for the job. Equally it makes sense to ensure that the individual is medically fit. We are able to offer pre-employment screening through postal health questionnaires and medical examinations where appropriate. We operate to the highest standards of occupational health practice, all delivered by qualified staff that possess many years of experience in this specialist field.

  • Pre-employment Questionnaires - assessment and report to company (on average, 98% of questionnaires will need no further action, 1% will require additional medical data from GP/Specialist and 1% will need to be referred for a face-to-face interview/assessment)
  • Pre-employment Medicals (only when clinically indicated by the OH physician).

Management Referrals

The Management referral process is appropriate where, in the case of employee's sickness absence or deteriorating performance, and the need to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).

We provide a comprehensive service to investigate employee's sickness absence. We obtain the available medical information either directly from the individual or from their GP or NHS doctor and we also arrange to examine the employee, if indicated. We provide the necessary rehabilitation support to ensure either an early return to the original job or redeployment to alternative work. A comprehensive report is provided to ensure that management are adequately informed about the case including an opinion on disability.
